About Us |
It all started on 17 April 1989, at the Hilton Hotel, Nicosia, where Christine Davies from the UK (one of the Founder Members of the European Management Assistants Europe when it was established back in 1974 in France) was giving a 3-day seminar on the "Role and Responsibilities of a Private Secretary". After express of interest, Christine Davies informed briefly all participants about the Association and its aims.
Nine of those participants decided to go through the process of founding the European Management Assistants (Cyprus) and in the beginning of July 1989, they received a letter welcoming them in the Association. These founder members were: Helen Colocassides, Nicoletta Hadjimitsis, Elouiza Karoglanian, Zoe Mouskou, Aphrodite Pashiou, Helen Pelides, Marlene Philippou and Styliana Pontikis. The National Group of the European Management Assistants (Cyprus) was ratified during the 1989 Annual General Meeting held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The new founded Cyprus Group was represented there by its first National Board comprising of: Styliana Pontikis (National Chairman), Nicoletta Hadjimitsis (National Treasurer) and Zoe Mouskou (National PRO). |
